Shoulder Pain & Rotator Cuff Treatment in Naples & Marco Island
Chronic shoulder pain — particularly pain from rotator cuff tendinopathy, partial tears, or shoulder osteoarthritis — has a wide range of treatment options between "rest and physical therapy" and "surgery." Many patients who feel stuck between those two have not been offered the regenerative and interventional middle path. This page describes how we evaluate and treat shoulder pain at Timeless Interventional of Naples.
What we treat.
How we evaluate.
The shoulder is one of the most movement-intensive joints in the body, and the conditions producing chronic shoulder pain are diverse. We commonly evaluate and treat rotator cuff tendinopathy (chronic tendon irritation and degeneration), partial rotator cuff tears, biceps tendinopathy, AC joint arthritis, and shoulder osteoarthritis. The first step is a precise evaluation to identify which structure is the dominant pain source.
Treatment options.
Targeted physical therapy directed at the specific structure involved is usually part of care. Image-guided steroid injections can provide effective short-term relief, particularly for inflammatory components. For chronic tendon conditions and partial tears, PRP is often the more durable option.
PRP for the shoulder.
Platelet-rich plasma has strong evidence for rotator cuff tendinopathy and partial tears, where the goal is to support tendon healing rather than simply quiet inflammation. PRP is delivered under ultrasound guidance for precise placement into the affected tendon or joint, and is most effective when combined with appropriate physical therapy as part of a coordinated plan. We discuss whether you are a candidate based on the specific finding and your goals.
When to consider us.
A consultation makes sense if cortisone has produced only short-lived relief, if physical therapy alone has not been enough, if surgery has been recommended but you would like to understand non-surgical options first, or if you are interested in regenerative approaches as part of your plan.
Our approach.
