Interventional Pain Management in Naples & Marco Island

Precise, minimally invasive treatments that target pain at its source - so you can move freely again.

Living with chronic pain shouldn't mean living on medication or waiting for surgery. At Timeless Interventional of Naples, interventional pain management uses targeted, image-guided procedures to find the exact source of your pain and treat it directly — quieting irritated nerves and inflamed joints with minimal downtime. Dr. Ranasinghe designs each plan around your diagnosis and your goals, and performs every procedure herself, right here in Naples and on Marco Island.

OVERVIEW

What Interventional Pain Management Is

Interventional pain management is the field focused on diagnosing and treating the specific structures that generate pain — nerves, joints, discs, and muscles — using precise, image-guided procedures rather than medication alone. The goal isn't to mask pain; it's to find its true source and calm it there. For many patients that means real relief, better function, and often avoiding or delaying surgery.

PROCEDURES
Image-guided procedures we offer

Every procedure is performed with fluoroscopy or ultrasound guidance for accuracy and safety.

  • Epidural steroid injections — for disc- and nerve-root pain and sciatica

  • Nerve blocks — targeted blocks of the specific nerves driving your pain

  • Joint injections — knee, hip, shoulder, sacroiliac, and facet joints

  • Trigger-point injections — for muscle-related pain

  • Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in Naples

Radiofrequency ablation is one of the most effective interventional treatments for the right patient.

Using precise image guidance, RFA uses heat to quiet the small sensory nerves that carry pain from an arthritic joint — most often the facet joints of the spine, the sacroiliac joint, or the knee (genicular nerves).

A diagnostic nerve block first confirms those nerves are the source of your pain; if they are, RFA can provide relief for many months to a couple of years, and it can be repeated. For patients who aren't candidates for — or want to delay — surgery, RFA is often a turning point.

Precision Through Image Guidance

Dr. Ranasinghe uses fluoroscopy and ultrasound to guide every injection to the precise target. That accuracy is what makes these treatments both safer and more effective — the medication reaches exactly where it's needed, and nowhere it isn't.

THE DIFFERENCE

Care on your timeline — not an insurer's.

Because we're a direct-pay practice, your plan is built around you, not around what a plan will authorize. When it's clinically appropriate, we can treat several areas in one visit — or deliver a complete series on the right timeline — instead of stretching care out or stopping short because of a prior authorization. And your plan can include supplements, lifestyle, and coordination with your other providers — the pieces a rushed, insurance-driven visit often skips. You see the physician directly at every visit.
