Many of our patients are seasonal residents and visitors who already receive regular injections back home — epidural steroid injections, joint injections, nerve blocks — and just need to stay on schedule while they're in Southwest Florida.

Others live here but are tired of waiting weeks for a plan to authorize a treatment they know they need. Because we're a direct-pay practice, there's no pre-authorization to wait on, no denials, and no rationing of care to what a plan will cover.

You bring your records, we confirm the injection is right for you, and we take care of it.

HOW IT WORKS

What to bring, and what to expect.

To make same-day or next-day treatment possible, bring your recent imaging (MRI, X-ray, or CT) and a brief record of the injections you've had — most patients who get these regularly already have them. When you arrive, Dr. Ranasinghe performs a focused evaluation to confirm the injection is appropriate and safe for you today.

Once that's confirmed, your injection is performed under image guidance — the same precise, well-tolerated procedure you're used to, done right. In most cases the whole visit is quick, and you walk out and get on with your day.

WHAT WE OFFER

Common same-day injections.

For established patients with appropriate imaging, these are among the injections we can often provide promptly:

Epidural steroid injections (for back or neck pain and sciatica)
Joint injections — knee, hip, shoulder, and other joints
Bursa and soft-tissue injections
Trigger-point injections
Peripheral nerve blocks
Regenerative options such as PRP (scheduled to allow for preparation)

Why direct-pay is simply faster.

With insurance, the plan often dictates the timeline — one injection at a time, prior authorizations, waiting weeks for approval, sometimes a denial after all of it. Direct-pay removes that entirely. You see the physician directly at every visit, you know the cost up front, and your care runs on your schedule instead of an insurer's.
