Why we practice this way
Time and attention. Longer visits and a physician who truly listens — because complex pain deserves more than a fifteen-minute appointment. Care without compromise. Treatment decisions are based on the best evidence and your goals, not on what an insurer is willing to authorize. Transparency. Fees are discussed openly and agreed upon before any treatment. You will always know what to expect — no hidden charges, no billing surprises after the fact. Privacy and simplicity. No insurance paperwork or prior authorizations standing between you and your care.
Using your out-of-network benefits
For patients whose plans include out-of-network coverage, we're glad to provide an itemized receipt (a "superbill") after your visit that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Whether — and how much — you're reimbursed depends on your individual plan, so we can't guarantee it, but many patients recover a portion of their costs this way. We're happy to answer questions about the process.

If your benefits are administered through Allegiance or Meritain, you may be eligible to be seen as a participating-provider patient. In that case, there is nothing extra you need to do — we simply submit your claim to your plan as usual, just as any in-network office would.
